Residential Burglary

The Barrington Hills Police Department is currently investigating a burglary which occurred yesterday during the morning or early afternoon hours in the area of Haegers Bend and Chapel Roads. Entry to the home was made through and unlocked door and small valuables were taken in the incident.

In a separate, but believed to be related incident yesterday, officers responded to a residence in the area of Spring Creek and Haegers Bend Roads where two subjects were reported looking into the windows of a home. The two subjects were described as a white male and a Hispanic male in their 20’s. The Hispanic male was reported to be wearing a blue jacket and the white male was wearing a black sweatshirt. Both subjects were reported to be carrying empty backpacks.

The Department is continuing to investigate these incidents and is asking anyone with information to contact the Investigations Division at 847-551-3006. If you observe these subjects or any suspicious persons or vehicles immediately dial 911 to report it. The Barrington Hills Police Department strongly encourages residents to lock all doors and windows when not home and to always use an alarm system when available.
