Residential Burglary

The Barrington Hills Police Department is actively investigating a residential burglary which took place sometime in the last four days, in the area of Oak Knoll and Old Hart Roads.

Entry to the unalarmed residence was gained by the offender(s) breaking a window pane of a locked door. Cash and a watch were taken in the incident. Anyone with information that may aid in this investigation is asked to contact the Department’s Investigations Division at 847-551-3006.

Chief Michael Murphy and the Barrington Hills Police Department strongly encourage residents to always use an alarm system when available and make use of the Department’s House Watch Program when away from home.
