Picnic with the Police
On September 7th between 11:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m., the Department will host “Picnic with the Police”, which will be a scaled down version of previous year’s open houses and take place on the grounds of the village complex. Although there will still be food served and giveaways provided, the redesign of this year’s event is intended to provide a more intimate setting and create an atmosphere more conducive to police-resident interaction and communication.
Highlights include:
- A dog demonstration provided by Topp's Kennel.
- A Barrington-Countryside fire truck will be on display and "Sparky the Firedog" will make an appearance.
- Cross Roads Search and Rescue of Illinois will provide a demonstration illustrating how their dogs can assist the community and those in need.
- Catering by Woody's of Barrington will include an array of delicious sandwiches, chips, popcorn, ice cream sandwiches, and fruit bars.
We hope you will join us for some family fun and an excellent opportunity to meet some of the men and women who serve and protect your village.
