On April 1, 2008, Catherine (Kate) Klasen was sworn in as the police department’s newest officer. Kate has been employed by the Department as a telecommunicator since April 1, 2007, and was previously employed as a police officer in Tempe, AZ and a telecommunicator in Bloomingdale, IL.
Officer Klasen will be attending the Suburban Law Enforcement Police Academy at Harper College beginning in June. Following her August 15th academy graduation, Kate will then begin her field training program with Department training officers and is expected to begin solo patrol sometime in November. |
