Since the initial Cellular studies, advances continue to be made in wireless and broadband technology. T-Mobile was granted permission to add a tower within one area of the Village and Cricket Communications was granted permission to add a tower in another area to support their prepaid service. Those two towers were placed on top of or within existing structures. So new towers, new carriers, new protocols 3G/4G, evdo, and new handsets like the iPhone and new Blackberry phones, Google Phones and more continue to change the landscape. Further proposals are under way using a technology called DAS to expand the wireless and broadband footprint inside the village. Ed.
