School District Boundaries 220 and 300 - Last Updated Newsletter

School boundary issues have long been a concern of many residents. These involve not only the boundary between District 220 and 300, but also the intra-district boundaries within 220. While we have not yet achieved the goal of having the entire village within District 220, a lot of work has been accomplished. Principally, we have moved the discussion to that of financial issues. However, in our latest discussions with District 300, a new set of legal barriers has appeared. Addressing these legal issues will be our focus over the coming months.

Regarding District 220, our relationship continues to strengthen. In particular, the Village and the district are now working together to address long-term planning and land use issues. This relationship will be critical in solving the District 220 / 300 boundary problem, and in making sure that District 220 is aware of our intra-district boundary concerns.
